Alarms

My alarm didn’t ring / rang late

Arise relies on your device, so a few settings matter — especially on Android:

  1. Battery optimization: set Arise to Unrestricted (Settings → Apps → Arise → Battery).
  2. Autostart / background: on Samsung, remove Arise from “Sleeping apps”/“Deep sleeping apps”; on Xiaomi/Redmi/OnePlus, enable Autostart for Arise.
  3. Notifications: allow notifications for Arise.
  4. Do Not Disturb / Focus: make sure alarms aren’t silenced by a Focus mode.
  5. Don’t force-close Arise before sleep on some devices — it can stop background alarms.

Important: for anything critical, always keep a backup alarm. Arise is a convenience tool, not a guaranteed system.

Voice dismissal isn’t working

Make sure microphone permission is granted, then tap the mic and say the phrase clearly. After three tries, Arise falls back to a math problem so you’re never stuck.

How do streaks work?

Dismiss your alarm each scheduled morning to grow your streak. Miss a scheduled alarm and it resets. Hit milestones (3, 7, 14, 21, 30, 60 days) to unlock features.

Sleep sounds & bedtime

Sleep sounds stop when the screen is off

Background playback should continue; if it stops, check the battery/background settings above. Sleep audio isn’t safety-critical, so aggressive power saving may pause it on some devices.

Bedtime reminder didn’t appear

Enable it in Settings → Bedtime reminder, set your target time and offset, and make sure notifications are allowed.

Premium & billing

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed by the app store, so cancel there:

Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the current period ends.

I paid but Premium isn’t showing

Open Settings → Restore Purchases in Arise. If it still doesn’t restore, email us with your store receipt.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their policies. Request them through your store account.

Privacy & your data

How do I delete my account and data?

In the app: Settings → Account & Data → Delete account & data. Remember to cancel any active store subscription separately (above) — deleting your account doesn’t cancel billing.

What data do you collect?

See our Privacy Policy. Short version: we don’t sell your data or show ads; voice audio is never stored.
